My Hobbies & PastimesDo you have a Hobby? Virtually all interests can be turned into a worthwhile hobby (if it isn't already) even when time is restricted. How? You may ask. Well, hobbies are much more than just fun, engaging mind and body outwith the demands of daily life is exhilarating and good for your health. There's an old saying 'use it or lose it', and it's very true, if we don't use muscle, then it becomes less effective and eventually can only process the most basic of tasks, so walking or cycling or joining a Gym or active charity can keep us in reasonable physical shape. But of course, there are more benefits too. Our social activities are governed by the people we know. By and large, most hobbies or interest will involve other people, and the great thing about hobbies is that you can dictate the amount of interaction you wish to have, but generally, most people get tremendous enjoyment from meeting like-minded people. Hobbies can be, and almost always are a HUGE benefit to the hobbyist...YOU! So, what are you interested in? What would you like to get to know about? What do you want to learn? Photography? Charity work? Hill-walking? War-games? History? Cycling? Computing? And of course, the list is endless...there's something for everyone. If you have a hobby in mind and have not done anything about it, then Take Action and pick up the phone. Remember, the hobby won't come to you!!! So, let your mantra be Action Action Action and go and get started and get involved, you'll love it. If you don't have a hobby in mind, then find one!
